Tom Brady pays Patrick Mahomes the ultimate compliment

Ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup, Tom Brady paid Patrick Mahomes quite the compliment.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the first team to ever host and play in the same Super Bowl as they prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

The biggest story leading up to the big game has been the quarterback duel that fans have to be excited to see. In his 20th year in the league, many questioned if Tom Brady was finally starting to regress, or if he was a ‘system quarterback’ under Bill Belichick in New England.

Patrick Mahomes on the other hand is the reigning Super Bowl MVP and the young phenom hoping to replace Brady whenever, if ever, his legacy as the best quarterback in the league is finally in question. Brady recently admitted that he can see himself playing past the age of 45.

As much as the two have been compared to each other as of late, Brady doesn’t seem to take issue with it. It actually seems like Brady has nothing but the utmost respect for Mahomes ahead of their matchup. When asked about Mahomes, Brady said that he feels like Mahomes has the clutch gene.

Brady in his time with the Patriots was the last to win back-to-back Super Bowls, something that Mahomes and the Chiefs will be attempting to do in Super Bowl 55.

The Super Bowl is set to take place this Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 pm EST.
