Tom Brady is already planning to continue playing in the NFL for years to come with no signs of slowing down just yet for the Bucs quarterback.

At 43 years old, you’d think Tom Brady would be slowing down. Instead, the Bucs quarterback has led his team to a Super Bowl appearance in his first season and he’s already looking forward to more.

Whether he wins or loses against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, Brady plans to keep playing so long as he keeps playing well.

That could mean several more years.

As he told James Palmer, Brady is prepared to keep going beyond his 45th birthday, so long as his level remains as high as it was in 2020.

In 2020, it was pretty darn high.

Tom Brady is playing too well to even consider retiring yet

Brady’s 21st season in the league saw him throw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns while completing 65.7 percent of his passes. His quarterback rating was among the highest of his career.

He took the Bucs, who had won just seven games the year before, and engineered an 11-5 regular-season record while besting Washington, Drew Brees and the Saints, and Aaron Rodgers and the Packers en route to the Super Bowl.

It would have been impressive for a 33-year-old to accomplish that. Brady is doing it well beyond the normal retirement age of quarterbacks.

The question is when Brady’s body will finally give out on him. Brees experienced the effects of age keenly this past season and he just turned 42. Someday the same will happen to Brady too.

Then again, Brady is an ageless wonder. And everyone who has ever bet against him at this point has lost. So Bucs fans, it’s not too early to start dreaming about 2022.
