The Green Bay Packers should look to make a few trades and maximize their chances of winning while Aaron Rodgers is still in town.

The Green Bay Packers reached the NFC Championship Game only to fall short once again. Aaron Rodgers played like an MVP, and even after drafting Jordan Love, the Packers should try to go all-in while Rodgers is still in the plans.

The first step is to come up with an offseason plan to improve. The team can’t spend a first-round pick on a quarterback in 2021, so fans can at least rest easy knowing that.

There are a few trade targets out there that could allow the Packers to get young talent and do so on a budget. Getting under the cap is going to take some work, but the team can do that and still make a few moves.

3. Draft capital

The Packers want to shed money, and trading players for picks is always a great strategy. Getting future draft picks also helps the team stockpile insurance for when Rodgers is no longer around and Love takes over.

Green Bay will want to avoid a full rebuild, and landing several extra picks will only increase the talent pool on the roster for when Rodgers is in fact gone.

Some Packers fans may not be happy with players being traded for picks. However, the players being traded will be on the way out for financial reasons. Don’t expect any season-crushing moves to be made. There will just be some that allow the Packers to get under the cap and then begin looking for new additions.
