Ohio State will look to gain ground in the Big Ten by taking down Iowa.

The Big Ten has been a beast all season long and could send as many as 11 teams to the NCAA Tournament. Two of the league’s best are set for a huge showdown in Iowa City tonight as the Ohio State Buckeyes hit the road to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Ohio State has been one of the hottest teams in the country, winning six of their past seven games to surge into the Top 10 of the AP poll. Sunday’s game against Michigan State saw the Buckeyes assert their will throughout, jumping out to a 42-30 lead at the half as Ohio State’s defense held the Spartans to just 32.1 percent shooting for the game.

This game will see the Buckeyes hit the road as they aim to take down the Hawkeyes, who have been in contention for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament all season long. Iowa has already played once this week, taking down the Spartans on Tuesday night in a game that was competitive throughout as Michigan State gave the Hawkeyes their best shot.

Luka Garza took over for Iowa in that game, scoring 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting as he carried the Hawkeyes on a night when no one else scored more than 12 points. Finding a way to slow down Garza will be important for the Buckeyes, who can attempt to adapt Michigan State’s strategy of attacking the problem with numbers.

Ohio State’s bigs are more capable than the Spartans’ group, which should help here. There isn’t a single player who will have a bigger impact on the outcome than Garza so if the Buckeyes can contain him they have a great shot to steal a road win.
