The Eagles need to nail free agency this offseason if they want to return to the playoffs in 2021. Avoiding these three players is a must for Philadelphia.

Salary cap space will be at a premium for the Eagles this offseason. The team’s front office won’t be able to make many additions via free agency. That makes every dollar Philadephia elects to spend this offseason crucial for the team’s short-term prospects.

Wide receiver and cornerback are two of the team’s biggest needs. Fortunately for Howie Roseman and his staff, both positions are relatively well-stocked on the free agent market. The key for Philadelphia will be working to find the right value.

Just as important as identifying the right signing will be avoiding the wrong target. Eagles fans should keep a particularly close eye on the three following free agents. Signing any one of them could torpedo the team’s hopes of bouncing back in 2021.

3. Will Fuller

Jalen Reagor is arguably the only wide receiver who deserves to come back for the Eagles in 2021. That puts Philadelphia in a position where they need to add multiple impact guys in the offseason.

At least one wide receiver should be added via free agency to avoid completely entrusting the room to young players. Fuller is a speed guy that will draw interest from a lot of teams looking to add explosiveness to their respective offenses.

The problem with Fuller is that he just can’t stay healthy. He’s only averaged 7 games played per season during his NFL career. That just isn’t enough reliability for an Eagles team that struggled mightily with injuries last season. The team should focus on spending their money on guys they can count on to play every single Sunday.
