The Dallas Cowboys lacked oversight and forgot to include Dak Prescott in a hype video.

Eminem could never forget about Dr. Dre, but how can the Dallas Cowboys forget about Dak Prescott?

For a franchise that has not played in a Super Bowl in 25 years, “America’s Team” had plenty of time to get this right. Unless they intentionally left Prescott out as a goof, what are you doing? You just left out the most mature leader this dysfunctional football team has on a hype video that clearly missed the mark. This team will win four games if Prescott is not the starting quarterback.

Senior director of media and programming for the Cowboys Derek Eagleton responded on Twitter.

“This was simply an oversight that should have been caught and corrected by us. Anyone who’s making it seem like Cowboys’ decision makers use social media videos to make statements doesn’t understand or take the time to understand how it all works. Trust me, there’s no story here.”

Why share a hype video if you are not going to include the starting quarterback?

This was not that hard. Unless your team is drafting a quarterback in the spring, you need to put the guy who leads your team every fall Sunday on the dang hype video. I do realize that Prescott is an impending free agent, but Dallas is almost certainly tagging him for a second time this year. Then again, this is a not-so-subtle way of giving the poor dude the Kirk Cousins treatment.

Next. Bucs players were in awe of Patrick Mahomes. dark

When Prescott does not play, the Cowboys are a total grease fire. He may not have A-plus arm talent and he may be a former fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State, but Jerry Jones’ third favorite son Tony Romo went undrafted out of Eastern Illinois. While we should not believe in any conspiracy theories, people in DFW are sure to be tinfoil-hatting it on this fine February Tuesday.

If I were Dak Prescott, would I really want to play for this team anymore? Get. It. Together. Guys.
