Tom Brady responds to video of him looking a little tipsy during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl parade.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are having the time of their lives on Wednesday afternoon, as their celebrated winning their second Lombardi Trophy…on a boat! We’ve seen the videos and tweets of the stars indulging in some day drinking, but the one that really gained some attention was that of quarterback Tom Brady, who needed a little help getting his land legs back.

Brady, being the social media savant that he is, responded to the clip of him looking a little tipsy, saying some “avocado tequila” is the culprit behind this.

You can’t blame the man for having the time of his life. He just won his seventh Super Bowl, which is more than any other franchise has on their record! So, he celebrated with some drinks on the boat and by tossing the Lombardi Trophy to his teammates on another watercraft. At least he didn’t drop his cell phone into the water, like wide receiver Scotty Miller did so with Chris Godwin’s, leading to some hilarious video content.

Prior to this season, the Buccaneers were looking for a new man to start under center, as the Jameis Winston experiment (pre-Lasik surgery) did not work out as initially expected. Luckily for general manager Jason Licht, Brady hit the open market after 20 years with the New England Patriots and they agreed to terms on a two-year, $50 million contract. One year in, and the Buccaneers made it to their first Super Bowl since 2003 and won by defeating the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.

And here we are, analyzing Brady’s alcohol tolerance during a championship parade in the Sunshine State.

With tequila, some people use it as a starter, while others consider it a day-ender. For Brady, it might have been a parade-ender.
