In an early look at the 2021 NFL MVP odds, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes currently holds the best odds.

Despite not helping the Kansas City Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl champions, Patrick Mahomes had himself another unforgettable year in 2020. With Mahomes leading the way, the Chiefs captured the No. 1 seed in the AFC and won the conference championship.

Unfortunately, Kansas City met Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl and was dominated. Regardless, Mahomes finished the regular season throwing for 4,780 yards and 38 touchdowns. He’s primed to have another big year in 2021. And leading up to the new season, Mahomes holds the best odds to take home MVP honors.

Mahomes indeed holds the No. 1 MVP odds for next year, as he’s ahead of Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen. Rodgers of course was named MVP this past season, as he finished the regular season throwing for 48 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

Allen himself was fantastic for the Buffalo Bills, as he helped the team get to the AFC Championship Game this year. Unfortunately for Allen, he ran into Mahomes and Kansas City in that AFC title game, suffering a 38-24 loss.

In that game, Mahomes put on an absolute show, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns. Those are the kinds of numbers we’ve grown used to seeing from the $502 million man. Looking ahead to next season, Kansas City figures to once again be in the Super Bowl conversation as well.

Should the team end up bringing home the Lombardi Trophy, you already know Mahomes will play a monster role in getting that done. Once again, Mahomes figures to be among the best players in the game next season. No surprise there.
