4. Kenny Golladay best free agency fits – New York Jets

In terms of matching player to team need, there are few cleaner fits than pairing Golladay with the New York Jets. The franchise has been lacking a top receiver since Brandon Marshall left after the 2016 season and GM Joe Douglas has plenty of cash to upgrade his roster.

This is a rebuilding project in New York, so Golladay would likely want to be paid handsomely to accept moving from one losing team to another. The Jets can accommodate that move since he would be a perfect receiver to go with Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder.

Adding a guy like Golladay would help the Jets’ quarterback, whether it is Sam Darnold, a top pick at No. 2 overall, or an outside acquisition like Deshaun Watson. Golladay’s injury problems from last season could hurt his price tag a bit, which would make the Jets more attractive if they are willing to pay more than other teams.

The reason the Jets are here is because of their ability to fit an impact talent on their roster and the fact that they have more salary-cap room than the Dolphins. Golladay will likely consider the Jets if they are the high bidder but an offer similar from a contender will push him in that direction.
