Things just didn’t work out at Miami for quarterback N’Kosi Perry, as the signal-caller has announced that he’s entering the transfer portal.

There’s more rough transfer portal news in for the Miami Hurricanes, and it’s one that fans aren’t going to like. That’s because former starting quarterback N’Kosi Perry has announced his intentions to leave the program.

That’s right, Perry has let the coaching staff know that he’ll be entering the transfer portal and finish out his college career elsewhere. Where will he end up suiting up next under center?

Former Miami starter N’Kosi Perry has announced he’s entering the NCAA transfer portal

Perry saw action as the starter in both 2018 and 2019, going 6-3 in the games he led the offense out onto the field. Last year, he was the No. 2 signal-caller, riding the pine with Houston transfer D’Eriq King taking over as the Hurricanes’ stater.

For his career, Perry appeared in 24 games. He threw for 2,484 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Earlier this year, it was reported that Perry would not participate in spring camp for Miami. Now, there’s been a complete and total change of plans, with Perry looking to call a new place his home to play.

This past season, Perry took over for Miami in the Cheez-It Bowl against Oklahoma State when King went down with his injury. In the 37-34 loss, Perry finished the game with 228 yards and two touchdowns in the rough defeat.

While some fans were hoping for him to push to win the starting job in 2021 for the ‘Canes, that simply won’t be the case. Stay tuned to see where Perry ends up next.
