Wide receiver. Louisville. Tutu Atwell. 31. Pick Analysis. 107. player. Scouting Report

This draft class doesn’t boast the embarrassment of riches in Round 1 that last year’s class did, but it arguably has similar depth. The idea that New York could land a talent like Atwell in Round 4 is a testament to that reality.

The former Louisville star is going to fall on draft day because he’s only capable of helping an NFL team in the slot. He’s simply not big enough to overcome his lack of stature on the outside.

Given the amount of three wide receiver sets the Giants would like to run that really shouldn’t bother New York. They can comfortably select Atwell with the intention of giving him significant snaps in the slot as a rookie.

Once Atwell gets the ball in space he has a chance to turn an ordinary-looking play into an extraordinary touchdown. The Giants need to add playmakers to their offense this offseason. Atwell can give their passing game an extra dimension.
