Cornerback. 172. player. Pick Analysis. Memphis. T.J. Carter. 31. Scouting Report

The Giants don’t have a pick in Round 5 or 7, but they have two sixth round selections as their disposal. Grabbing Cartner this late in the draft could turn into a steal for New York.

His ability to make plays on the ball makes him a great hedge against taking Campbell in Round 2. Carter doesn’t have elite size for the position, but he has an impressive ability to stay with a diverse set of receivers in single coverage. The step-up in competition from Memphis to the pros will be a challenge for Carter, but he’s got a strong chance to stick as a No. 4 corner as a rookie.

Pick Analysis. Boston College. Alec Lindstrom. 177. Scouting Report. Center. player. 31

New York can round out their draft by adding a player capable of contributing to their offensive line depth across three interior positions. Lindstrom’s college tape is solid, but not spectacular. It’s his versatility and intelligence that gives him a chance to stick at the next level.

Center is arguably his best position. That’s where his smarts play up the most while mitigating any concerns about his lack of strength or athleticism. Lindstrom is simply a player that makes the right read and play the majority of the time. That makes him a valuable reserve at the next level even if he never blossoms into a starter.
