Running backs have their moments in the NFL. One second they are at the top of the chart, leading the league in rushing totals and becoming the face of the franchise. The next, they’re bouncing around from market to market with the hopes of regaining that charge.

The Lions have expressed their desire to run the ball more efficiently in 2021. Sure, adding a talent like Fournette would make sense since he’s the polar opposite player of D’Andre Swift, but which talent would Detroit get?

Would it be Playoff Lenny or Jaguars bust?

Fournette dazzled this postseason with four touchdowns and near 450 total yards of offense on the way to a Super Bowl win. That almost never happened since he was at one point fourth on the Buccaneers depth chart after struggling to produce at a consistent level.

His bruiser style of running worked behind a stout offensive line. Will Detroit’s offensive line offer the same protection?

The Lions can’t be wasting money this offseason. If Fournette is looking for high-end starter money, it’d be best he signs elsewhere.
