Domantas Sabonis

Right about now, Indiana Pacers fans are probably asking themselves what more Domantas Sabonis could’ve done to earn his second All-Star selection. Sure, the Pacers are technically only one game over .500, but they’re still sitting fourth in the East, and Sabonis’ production has been a huge part of that.

Maybe Malcolm Brogdon’s strong start detracts from his All-Star case, but it’s hard to overlook the 21.5 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists a night on 52.8 percent shooting that Sabonis has been putting up.

These conversations always come down to a matter of preference, but even with the way Indiana cooled off after the hot start to the season, it’s hard to justify a guy putting up 21-12-5 on a top-four team in his conference and still missing the cut, especially when the big man ahead of him (Vucevic) is playing for a 13-18 Orlando Magic team.

Verdict: Incorrect call (should’ve been in over NIkola Vucevic)
