Andy Reid went viral while rocking his now infamous face shield and it’s now rightfully in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Of all the highlights from the unforgettable 2020 NFL season, no one has forgotten about opening night when the Kansas City Chiefs took down the Houston Texans. While the Chiefs offense put on a show, it was head coach Andy Reid who was stealing headlines, but not for a reason we anticipated.

Reid went viral after he was seen on the sidelines rocking a face shield, which was fogged up basically from the opening kick. Now, that face shield is in Canton, Ohio as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. You can’t make this stuff up.

Andy Reid’s face shield displayed in the Hall of Fame is simply awesome

Kudos to Reid. Not only did he wear that face shield with style, but he also helped lead his team to a statement victory in the process. It was another memorable year for the Chiefs, who took down the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game and were one win away from repeating as Super Bowl champs.

Unfortunately for Reid and Co., they ran into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl and weren’t able to get the job done. Regardless, Kansas City is built right now to compete for more Lombardi Trophies in the near future, with Reid ready to lead the charge.

One day, we’ll see Reid in the Pro Football Hall of Fame following his tremendous coaching career. He looks to be in no rush to retire, though, and we could see him win at least one more Super Bowl before he calls it quits. When he does make his way to Canton, he’ll also have the honor of saying his face shield is already in. You know he’ll love that.

Sean McVay will stick with masks, thinks only Andy Reid can pull off the face shield. dark. Next
