1. LSU Tigers

There is nothing like football in Death Valley. Some of the biggest names in college football make this a must-see every single year. It has everything. Some of the best food you will ever eat. Crawfish, brats, burgers, gumbo, BBQ, shrimp, oysters, and of course the tradition to “cook the enemy” (which means eating the rival mascot). The food at an LSU tailgate might be the best meal of your life. Also, there’s always a pig roast somewhere.

There are tailgates with free top-end booze sponsored by local businesses. They call it a marketing expense. There’s no Keystone Light going around for LSU Tigers fans (unless you’re into that kind of thing).

The game experience is phenomenal. Usually, fans are hitting that sweet spot once the game starts. LSU plays a lot of night games, and the all-day parties beforehand turn into a pretty awesome experience in the stands.

LSU is chaotic, rowdy, and a little on the crazy (okay, a lot), but the experience is untouchable. It will be a day that feels like a whirlwind while it’s happening, but once it’s over fans can’t stop talking about it. You’ll meet people you never thought possible in the middle of a catered tailgate. You’ll share amazing eats with strangers. Everything that’s great about every other tailgate is ten-times better at LSU.

It’s also SEC football. LSU is basically rivals with everyone on its schedule. The Alabama game is the one that takes all the headlines, but matchups with Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M provide the same level of insanity from its fanbase as other team’s biggest rivals.
