4. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers still sat at the top of the Eastern Conference standings heading into Tuesday night’s action, but the Brooklyn Nets are breathing down their necks and that’s without Kevin Durant being on the court since Feb. 13. The Sixers are a great team, but is anyone picking them over the Nets in a seven-game playoff series?

Even if that question is “yes, Sixers all the way,” a team in the rare position to contend for a championship should do everything in its power to strengthen its rotation. That doesn’t always result in a trade, but the front office should still do its due diligence by exploring various ways to improve the roster.

Outside of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, nobody on this roster is ultimately untouchable with the goal of winning a title in mind. General manager Daryl Morey won’t be satisfied until one of his rosters get there, and just as we saw time and time again with the Houston Rockets, you can expect this Sixers franchise to be on the prowl for any possible upgrade.
