Terry McLaurin needs a lot of help if he’s going to help Washington’s aerial attack progress in 2021 and beyond. Adding a dynamic slot receiver like Moore could provide this offense balance it desperately needs.

The problem with the former Purdue star is that his collegiate career was riddled with worrisome injuries. He simply wasn’t available often enough to really help the Boilermakers take a step forward in the Big 10.

His lack of stature also means he has to play in the slot to be effective at the NFL level. That’s an acceptable tradeoff for Washington because of just how dynamic Moore is with the football. He’s the rare small receiver who can make catches down the field in traffic and turn short throws into long gains with his ability to make guys miss.

Moore might carry too much risk for Washington to swallow in Round 1, but there’s no denying his star potential. Finding a player with that much upside at No. 19 is worth serious consideration for the team’s front office.
