The Arizona Cardinals will add another weapon to Kyler Murray is arsenal with A.J. Green.

The Arizona Cardinals will look to be a contender in the NFC West for the 2021 season. Steve Keim already added to the pass rush with J.J. Watt.

Now, another J is joining the mix.

The Cardinals agreed to terms with former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green. Greenwald join the team out west or a one year deal worth up to $8.5 million, with $6 million guaranteed. Green is expected to play opposite off All-Pro target DeAndre Hopkins and slot target Christian Kirk.

There’s no denying that Green is still a talented receiver overall. However, for any Cardinals’ fans wondering if he will have his Pro Bowl-equse career revived in the desert, think again. The soon-to-be 33-year-old target is coming off a career-worst season in which he tallied 45 catches for 523 yards and two touchdowns.

For his career, Green has recorded 649 catches for 9,430 yards and 65 touchdowns. His career began with five 1,000-plus receiving yards seasons.

Are the Cardinals in good hands with Green?

Kliff Kingsbury is in a proven year as the Cardinals head coach. Last season, Arizona finished with a .500 record for the first time since 2017.The only problem with that is they start at 6-3 losing five of their final seven games and missing the postseason.

Kyler Murray has taken the proper steps to transform into a quality quarterback. The addition of Hopkins last year expanded his passing game, having him throw for near 4,000 yards and 26 touchdowns on the season.

Will Green provide the tools needed for Murray to enter the MVP conversation?

The seven-time Pro Bowl target played the 2020 season on the franchise tag worth $18.2 million after the two failed to reach a long-term deal for the future. With the emergence of Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins, Green was phased out with new quarterback Joe Burrow.

Although he will no longer be a No.1 option, green should provide stability as a quality No.3. Let’s pump the brakes on him breaking 1,000 yards next season.

Watt and Green are nearing the end of their careers, so heading out to Phoenix makes sense. After all, it’s a retirement paradise.
