3. Clint Frazier will lead the team in home runs

Frazier isn’t the most accomplished slugger on the Yankees’ roster, but he mashed eight dingers in just 131 at bats last year. Look for the young outfielder to take full advantage of getting a chance to start for the Yankees over the course of a full 162-game season.

His presence in the bottom third of Boone’s order is going to produce a lot of runs for the Yankees. Any pitcher who thinks they can exhale when pitching against Frazier is going to get burned in 2021. He’s a legitimate candidate to hit 40 home runs if he can stay healthy for the full season.

That kind of production could give Frazier the chance to outpace luminaries like Stanton, Gleyber Torres, and Aaron Judge to lead the team. Some Yankees fans might think of Frazier leading the team in dingers as a potential disappointment, but it could be a massive boon towards the bottom of the team’s lineup.

Getting that kind of slugging from the bottom of the order is a big part of what makes the Yankees’ lineup so difficult for opposing pitchers to handle. Look for “Big Red” to go on a tear now that he’s secure in his starting spot.
