The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran defensive back Malcolm Butler on Thursday and then followed things up by savaging the Seattle Seahawks.

Look away, Seahawks fans. It’s looking like the team will now have to face one of the biggest villains in franchise history at least twice come 2021. Unfortunately for folks in Seattle, the Arizona Cardinals have signed Malcolm Butler to a one-year deal.

Yes, that’s the same Butler who intercepted a Russell Wilson pass in February of 2015 to steal the Super Bowl away from the Seahawks. To make matters worse, Arizona has trolled the Hawks over their latest move as well. Unreal.

Arizona signing Malcolm Butler was made worse for the Seahawks when the Cardinals trolled them

Talk about delivering a powerful elbow from the top rope. The Cardinals know that Seahawks fans still lose sleep over this moment. Again, why in the world didn’t the Seahawks just give the ball to Marshawn Lynch and let him Beast Mode his way into the end zone?

Despite Seattle losing that game, they won the Super Bowl the year before. They made sure to remind Arizona of that with their reply.

How does that one taste, Arizona? The Seahawks had the perfect response, as the Cardinals have never lifted the Lombardi Trophy. They came close back during the 2008 campaign, but they suffered a heartbreaking 27-23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl.

So, while Butler may have a ring to his name, the same can’t be said for the Cardinals. Seattle has one and they’ll be hoping to bring home No. 2 in the near future with Wilson, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and others powering the ship. Until the Cardinals raise the trophy high into the sky, it might be wise for them to keep the Seattle trolling to a minimum.

Next. Russell Wilson thrilled about Seattle’s latest moves. dark
