1. LaMarcus Aldridge

LaMarcus Aldridge is on the open market after receiving a buyout from the San Antonio Spurs. He is now reportedly taking meetings with top contenders and should be picked up fast.

He appeared in 21 games this season and scored 13.7 points per game while dealing with several injuries. Then came an agreement that he would sit out while the two sides worked out a buyout.

Aldridge is 35 years old and has not seen a drastic reduction in performance yet in his career. The forward has been a starter throughout his career and can even come off the bench if needed. According to Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes, he will consider multiple teams:

The Lakers appear to be a perfect fit, while the Miami Heat are also targeting the big man. Anywhere he goes, Aldridge is going to play right away and be a key piece for any contender. His rebounding numbers should also shoot up from the 4.5 per game he was averaging in limited action with the Spurs this season.

Aldridge joins Drummond as the two best big men available. Even if a team misses out on one, the alternative is nothing to be upset about.
