Before being drafted by the Bills in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Fromm was the star quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs. Fromm’s collegiate career began after stepping in for an injured Jacob Eason. From there, the Bulldogs won the SEC championship over the Auburn Tigers and defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 54-48 in double-overtime in the Rose Bowl to reach the CFP National Championship Game. Fromm and Georgia would fall to the Alabama Crimson Tide 26-23 in overtime.

In addition to the SEC and Rose Bowl championships, Fromm was named the SEC’s Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American.

Fromm would play two more seasons until foregoing his senior year to declare for the NFL Draft. Through three years, Fromm completed 63.2-percent of his passes for 8,224 yards, 78 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

There was no preseason for Fromm in his rookie year due to the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, he was designated as the emergency quarterback for the Bills, where he isolated inside the team facility and practiced separately from the rest of the team in case there was a COVID-19 outbreak.

Entering his second season in the NFL, Fromm is listed as the third quarterback on the depth chart behind Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky, former second-overall pick of the Chicago Bears.
