Tom Brady absolutely crushed the souls of every Montreal baseball fan on April Fool’s Day.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady continues to own the other team that drafted him.

Long before Brady was a seven-time Super Bowl champion, he was a 18th-round pick by the Montreal Expos out of high school. Though the 1994 MLB strike was a death sentence to Montreal baseball, Brady deciding to take his talents to Ann Arbor was the nail in the coffin. Here he is proclaiming to be the first player/coach/owner in MLB history by bringing back the Expos in 2022.

If anybody could bring the Expos back, it would have to be Tom Brady, right?

Montreal has not had big-league baseball since the 2004 MLB season. The ex-Expos now call themselves the “Washington Nationals”. While baseball has been a huge hit in the nation’s capital, we have to wonder if baseball will expand to 32 teams. One city that could be in the running for an expansion franchise would be Montreal. What if Brady was a part owner of the revamped Expos?

Not only does he have more money than he can spend, his wife Gisele Bundchen is famous internationally from her supermodel career. Brady may not be Canadian, but he did get drafted by the Expos back in 1995. Though Charlotte or Nashville are more likely Eastern Time Zone expansion candidates than Montreal, we all know where Brady’s baseball heart is located.

Brady did not earn a free bowl of poutine by sending out this most hilarious tweet on Thursday.
