Milwaukee Bucks gave Jrue Holiday a massive extension

Point guard Jrue Holiday will remain with the Milwaukee Bucks for the foreseeable future.
Milwaukee Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday has agreed to a massive extension to stay put.
The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania reports Holiday and the Bucks have agreed to a four-year extension worth the maximum of $160 million. Holiday is having a fantastic first season in Milwaukee. He was traded over to the Bucks from the New Orleans Pelicans in a multi-team blockbuster trade back in November. Holiday will stay with the Bucks into his mid-30s now.
The Milwaukee Bucks believe Jrue Holiday can get them to the NBA Finals
While Giannis Antetokounmpo is the unquestioned superstar player in Milwaukee, the Bucks are not going to get to and win an NBA Finals with him having to do everything. Though Khris Middleton is a great player as well, adding Holiday this past season has given the Bucks even more versatility on both ends of the floor. He is the perfect complementary player for Milwaukee.
Though the Bucks are easily the best team in the Central Division, they will have to battle the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers for the best record in the Eastern Conference. One of these three teams are the most likely to represent their conference in the NBA Finals. With a new contract extension signed, perhaps Holiday can be the spark to get the Bucks finally over the top?
By extending Holiday, the Bucks are letting the NBA know they finally have the right corps in place.
