Dodgers news: Trevor Bauer reportedly under MLB investigation
Dodgers ace Trevor Bauer is reportedly being investigated for suspicious findings on baseballs he used in his last start.
Trevor Bauer was easily the most outspoken MLB player when it came to the Houston Astros cheating scandal. Now the Los Angeles Dodgers ace is under MLB investigation himself, according to Ken Rosenthal.
The MLB insider dropped a report Thursday night detailing MLB’s investigation into the reigning National League Cy Young winner.

So this is certainly major news. The umpires on the field were the ones to notice the suspicious findings and kept the baseballs for further investigation. Did Bauer notice they were keeping the balls? Or is this all one big misunderstanding?
It would be shocking if Bauer were found to be doctoring baseballs. However, he is also someone who could be doing it to prove a point. He is truly a wild card.
Fans were alerted to the fact a baseball was removed during Bauer’s start Wednesday. MLB Twitter was all over him and Rosenthal confirmed the league was looking into it with his report.
Bauer went 6.2 innings against the Oakland A’s and finished with 10 strikeouts. That matched his total from his first start as well. If the umpires found something on the balls in that opening game, this investigation would take a whole new turn.
The right-hander is someone who may end up addressing this matter directly on Twitter. Even if he does, those who dislike Bauer are going to tweet back at him with disdain until MLB reveals its findings.
