Lakers: LeBron James, Anthony Davis weeks away from returning

Davis exited a Feb. 14 game against the Denver Nuggets with a right leg injury. Shortly afterwards, it was announced that the big man was dealing with a right calf strain and a tendinosis in his right leg. While Davis’ absence was huge, Lakers fans could at least take solace in the fact that James was still healthy.

That all changed during a March 20 game against the Atlanta Hawks when forward Solomon Hill fell on James’ ankle during a turnover. James did stay in the contest briefly before departing to the locker room. After that game, it was determined that James was dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Through 23 games this season, Davis is averaging 22.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals, all while shooting 53.3-percent from the field. As for James, he has tallied 25.4 points, 7.9 assists and 7.9 rebounds while recording a 51.3-percent field goal percentage and 36.8 three-point percentage through 41 contests.
