Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. is so awesome, he made a young fan’s day … twice.

Still in the early stages of his MLB career with the Atlanta Braves, outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. truly gets the big picture of what the game of baseball is actually all about.

After taking Zack Wheeler’s offering deep into the Cobb County sky on Friday night, little did Acuña know that a young Braves fan from Guatemala was in attendance at Atlanta’s 2021 home opener at Truist Park. It was this young fan’s first game and his favorite player is the Braves’ superstar right fielder. The young boy’s father shared a video of them celebrating the epic blast.

Hours after the video went viral on Braves Twitter, Acuña quote tweeted the incredible moment between father and son with an absolutely beautiful message.

“This is the part of the game that I love the most! Thank you and the little one for the video and I hope I can bring more moments like this!”

Ronald Acuña Jr. is on fire at the plate for the 2021 Atlanta Braves

After a frustrating series for all involved up in Philadelphia, the Braves have won four games in a row after a dreadful 0-4 to get back to .500. Should they put away the division rival Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday Night Baseball, the Braves could be in first-place tie with the Phillies at 5-4. Acuña has been on an absolute tear over the last week and change as the Braves’ leadoff hitter.

Through eight games this season, Acuña is slashing .406/.441/.844 with 13 hits, six runs batted in, six runs scored, five doubles and three home runs. The 2018 NL Rookie of the Year is well on his way towards his third straight Silver Slugger and his second career trip to the MLB All-Star Game. If he keeps hitting anywhere close to this, he could give the Braves back-to-back NL MVP awards.

Most importantly, Acuña sees the big picture when it comes to the memories forged by baseball.
