Favorite emerging in a potential trade for Teddy Bridgewater
The Denver Broncos clearly aren’t sold on quarterback Drew Lock as the leader of the offense, which is why trading for Teddy Bridgewater could make total sense.
As soon as the Carolina Panthers pulled off the trade to land Sam Darnold from the New York Jets, the rumors started swirling surrounding Teddy Bridgewater. While he looked solid at times for the Carolina Panthers, it will be Darnold’s show starting in 2021.
With that said, multiple teams are interested in potentially bringing Bridgewater to town. One organization in particular of interest is no question Denver, as the Broncos look ready to potentially move on from Drew Lock as the team’s starter.
Denver making a move to trade for Teddy Bridgewater makes a ton of sense
John Elway and the rest of the Broncos front office have been busy this offseason and that’s only going to continue with the NFL Draft right around two weeks away. Again, quarterback is a big question mark for the Broncos, with Lock’s struggles really standing out in 2020.
Could that lead to Bridgewater heading to town and competing for the starting job? That very well could be the case, as Denver is considered a favorite to pull off a deal in the coming weeks. Only time will tell if that ends up happening.
Elsewhere for the Broncos, the team was also present for Justin Fields’ Ohio State Pro Day. With Fields hoping to hear his name called early on in the first round, he’d certainly be an intriguing option for the Broncos.
He may not be called upon to start right away if the team drafts him, but Fields most definitely has what it takes to be a long-term option for any team. Why not Denver? Soon enough, Broncos fans will have more clarity on the quarterback position for the team.
