The Detroit Tigers owned the Houston Astros in their three-game sweep and made things even sweeter by trolling them on social media.

What a week it has been for the Detroit Tigers. The AL Central club is fresh off a three-game series sweep of the Houston Astros, making them look like anything other than an American League powerhouse. It was a rough three games for Houston, no doubt.

Shortly after wrapping up the win on Thursday night, Detroit went ahead and added to the pain for Houston, delivering a perfect tweet to troll them. If you’re a Houston fan, you’re not going to like seeing this one bit.

Yup, that’s most certainly going to leave a mark for the Astros. This series had plenty of intrigue leading up to it too, as it marked the return of Detroit manager A.J. Hinch to Houston. He was no stranger to success with the Astros, helping the team win a World Series.

However, there was also plenty of controversy for Hinch, as he was fired in January of 2020 following the Astros’ earth-shattering sign-stealing scandal. Nevertheless, Hinch has found a new home with the Tigers and his new club sent quite the message in taking three consecutive games from Houston.

With the three-game sweep, Detroit is now 6-6 on the year, while Houston is also 6-6 early on. It’s been a week of tough news for the Astros, as it was announced on Wednesday that five players, including stars Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman, were being placed on the Injured List.

Meanwhile for the Tigers, you know they have plenty of confidence right now after their showing against Houston.
