Georgia football: Dawgs finally get some good news on health of receiver

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint’s latest injury update is great news for Georgia football fans.

When Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint suffered a gruesome ankle injury in last year’s game vs. Florida, Georgia football fans were sick to their stomaches.

Rosemy-Jacksaint hit pay dirt vs. Florida, but his leg snapped and went the other way. Though we are only a handful of months removed from the devastating injury, Rosemy-Jacksaint seems to be progressing well in his rehab. He was spotted ahead of Georgia’s annual spring game in uniform and running routes for the Dawgs. For him to be doing this five months after the fact is amazing.

If Rosemy-Jacksaint is good to go by the start of the regular season, that is so huge for Georgia.

For Georgia to contend for an SEC Championship or even a national title, the Dawgs have to be better at passing the football. While JT Daniels showed us all that he is the unquestioned starting quarterback entering this offseason, he only played a handful of games for Georgia last year. Though he will elevate the talent around him, having Rosemy-Jacksaint back will be a huge boost.

Georgia saw its No. 1 wide receiver George Pickens tear his ACL earlier in spring practice. While Jermaine Burton’s hyperextended knee was not as serious as we initially thought, Rosemy-Jacksaint and Dominick Blaylock are still working their way back from season-ending injuries. Blaylock has torn his ACL twice since Georgia’s Sugar Bowl victory over Baylor two years ago.

If Rosemy-Jacksaint can contribute in the receiving game in September, that would be fantastic.
