Saturday’s game between the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels is postponed due to at least one positive COVID-19 test on the Twins.
The Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins opened up their series on Friday night, which saw the Angels win 10-3. Twenty-four hours later, the series is officially on hold.
The Twins officially announced that Saturday’s game against the Angels is postponed to “allow for continued testing and contact tracing involving members of the Twins organization.” Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported shortly afterwards that at least one of Minnesota’s players had a positive COVID-19 test on Saturday.

Manager Rocco Baldelli announced (via ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan) that outfielder Kyle Garlick had tested positive for COVID-19, along with another unspecified player.
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says Kyle Garlick has tested positive for COVID-19 and another player had tested positive as well. That is in addition to Andrelton Simmons’ positive earlier this week as well as a staff member. Playing tomorrow’s game, he says, is “up in the air.”

Minnesota’s game vs. Angels postponed due to player’s positive COVID-19 test
Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports that Sunday’s game between Los Angeles and Minnesota is also postponed.
The Twins have had issues related to COVID-19 this past week, as shortstop Andrelton Simmons tested positive and was placed on the team’s COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Speaking of Simmons, sources told Dan Hayes of The Athletic that there is no overlap between the current COVID-19 issues that postponed Saturday’s game and Simmons’ positive test at the beginning of the week.
Sources: The #MNTwins are not finding overlap between their current COVID issues and Andrelton Simmons. Contact tracing showing little crossover between affected persons from this incident and Simmons, who hasn't been around since Tuesday.

In addition to the Simmons positive, a staffer on Minnesota also yielded a positive COVID-19 test on Friday, per Rosenthal.
Prior to their series against the Angels, Baldelli was flagged with a positive COVID-19 test. However, that was deemed to be a false positive, so he was able to make the trip to Anaheim.
