Ben Askren only had one thing to say after easily getting knocked out by Jake Paul

A strange night of fights and performances, including those who weren’t competing in the ring, all ended with Jake Paul easily knocking out Ben Askren in about two minutes in a boxing bout.

Askren was able to leave the ring on his own accord, and he tweeted out a message to his supporters after putting on a display that’d leave MMA fans (and maybe just combat sports fans period) hanging their heads in shame.

Ben Askren tweets out apology following easy KO loss to Jake Paul, lasting less time than Nate Robinson

The main event fight, on a card promoted by Triller, was laughable with plenty of people across MMA and boxing Twitter crying fix when spotting Askren leaving with a smile on his face.

Maybe the money was worth it, considering Askren took home $500,000. But it’s ironic considering what he tweeted as former NBA star Nate Robinson was soundly knocked out by Paul in November on the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. card, which was also promoted by Triller.

For the record, Robinson was knocked out in the second round. Askren lasted two MINUTES.

Just saying.
