1. Draft DL Christian Barmore at No. 26

The difference between the other positions and this one is a multitude of names could be in consideration when selecting. The same can’t be said about the defensive tackle class, meaning if Barmore is on the clock at No. 26, Berry must select him.

With the addition of Clowney, the Browns elected to release Sheldon Richardson. They also saw Larry Ogunjobi walk across the state to join Cincinnati in free agency. Jordan Elliott might be ready for first-team reps, but is Malik Jackson even close to the same player he was in Denver and Jacksonville?

Barmore is a perfect balance of speed and strength. His overall massive frame allows him to shuck players out of the way as a bull-rusher against the pass. As a run stopper, he excels when asked to play in a one-gap system and has incredible closing speed.

It’s simple: the Browns need help at defensive tackle and Barmore is the only one worth taking in the first round. Add the Alabama product to the trenches and prosper with a young core for Joe Woods in 2021 and beyond.
