Najee Harris was an unstoppable beast playing running back in his high school days.

By trampling over one Californian high school football player after another, it allowed Najee Harris to live out his wildest dreams of playing running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Harris starred for Antioch High School in Antioch, California. Though Tuscaloosa, Alabama is far away from the West Coast, Harris knew he had to go to the best program in the country to get the most out of his talent. Four years later, and the Doak Walker Award winner is on the precipice of being a first-round pick. He looks to be making an NFL team very happy with his top-40 selection.

This highlight package should have been hidden behind a paywall, so enjoy it at your own risk.

Najee Harris will be one of the first two running backs taken this spring

Harris decided to return to Tuscaloosa for his senior season in 2020. While returning to school didn’t elevate his draft status a ton, he won the Doak Walker, earned All-American honors and won a national championship in an undefeated season. Harris could go as high as No. 18 to the Miami Dolphins in the 2021 NFL Draft, but could potentially fall to the early part of round two.

The other running back to keep an eye on when it comes to the first tailback to come off the board is Clemson’s Travis Etienne. While Harris could go a tad higher than Etienne, there is a chance we could see both of them gone before pick No. 25. Teams like the Dolphins, the New York Jets, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills could all be looking running back.

Here is to Harris running over more small defensive backs on the field, this time at the NFL level.
