Justin Jefferson and The Griddy are coming to Fortnite

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is bringing the Griddy to Fortnite.

Justin Jefferson will become the first NFL player to have his own Locker Bundle in Fortnite.

In his first season out of LSU, Jefferson became a star receiver for the Minnesota Vikings. He had 88 catches for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season. On his way to earning his first career Pro Bowl nod, Jefferson became synonymous with the celebratory dance move known as The Griddy. And now Jefferson and his popular end zone dance are coming to Fortnite on April 28, 2021 in the Item Shop.

Jefferson may be the first NFL player to have his footprint all over Fortnite, but he probably will not be the last. It is a very popular game among players in the league, and when you have a captivating on-field personality like Jefferson, it translates marvelously into the world of Fortnite. Not every player will have a Locker Bundle like Jefferson but expect more players to follow him.

It is cool to see emerging star athletes get into new business ventures we did not even think were possibly only a few years ago. Whether it is getting into the NFT game or having your likeness going into a video outside of Madden, more power to them.
