1. Chicago Bears

The Giants got a ton of value via their trade with the Bears, but Chicago arguably got something even more valuable. Landing Justin Fields at No. 11 could drastically change the trajectory of their entire franchise.

If Fields turns out to be a high-level starter then no one with the Bears will think twice about the draft capital it cost to move up and acquire him. Nothing is more important in the modern NFL than landing a high-level quarterback and that’s just why Chicago was justified to pay the price required to move up and grab him.

Fields has the perfect skill set to thrive in Matt Nagy’s offense. He was one of the most accurate passers in college football last season, but it’s his mobility that sets him apart from his peers in this year’s draft class. Look for Chicago’s offensive coaching staff to get him out on the edge early and often to take advantage of his rushing ability.

Next. Justin Fields ends Bears' quarterback misery. dark

The Bears entered this draft with one of the worst quarterback situations in the NFL. The fact that they’ll leave Round 1 with a long-term answer at the position makes them big winners. If Fields becomes a star in Chicago this draft will be viewed in retrospect as a big turning point in franchise history. Bears fans finally have a quarterback they can invest hope in again.
