Cleveland Browns NFL Draft 2021 picks, trades, and grades
By Josh Hill
Things are finally looking up for the Cleveland Browns, and this year’s NFL Draft is another big step in the right direction.
It’s been over two decades since the Cleveland Browns returned, but success must have gotten lost at baggage claim.
But then last year happened, and the Browns finally arrived the way fans have been waiting to see since 1999. Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward all stepped up the way the front office was hoping they would when they were each drafted, which bucked the trend of Cleveland being seemingly unable to land the right players to kickstart something.
There’s still work to be done, but the Browns are coming off of a season in which they roasted the Steelers in the Wild Card round and came very close to upsetting the Chiefs at Arrowhead in the Divisional Round. That’s what Cleveland is building off of as it tries to put together a draft class not meant to be the start of something but the continuation of success.
For the first time in a long time, the NFL is in making Cleveland the centerpiece of a big event but the Browns are the main attraction.
