The 2021 NFL Draft is being held in Cleveland, Ohio over the course of the weekend.

The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books and now we turn to Day 2 with the second and third rounds on Friday.

While the top 32 selections are the ones that will be the most praised, and the most scrutinized, over the weekend and into next week, we all know that better value lies in Day 2 of the draft. Second and third-round picks are made on the second day of the draft. Many of these players going in Day 2 end up as Pro Bowlers and beloved franchise cornerstones.

2021 NFL Draft: What time does the second round officially begin?

Day 2 of the NFL Draft kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET live from Cleveland, Ohio.

It will begin an hour earlier than the day prior. This is because they have to fit in two rounds on Friday night instead of one like the NFL has done in recent years on Thursday night.

There will also be compensatory picks made at the end of the third round, so there will be more than 64 guys drafted on Friday.

To build a Super Bowl roster, an organization with championship aspirations must hit on more of these day-two picks than not. While mining a gem in Day 3 or finding a diamond in the rough in an undrafted free agent happens all the time, you could argue these selections made on Day 2 will determine if an organization sinks or swims in the coming years. They are that important.

Here is to your favorite NFL team being able to extract a great deal of value with Friday’s picks.
