The Philadelphia Eagles have 11 picks to work with in the 2021 NFL Draft and this is the best way to maximize their results in the first round.

Some Eagles fans aren’t happy that the team agreed to trade down to No. 12 in Round 1. Who Philadelphia ultimately lands with that selection should go a long way towards easing fan sentiment. The franchise needs a little luck to fall their way on Draft Night if they want to hit a home run with their first selection.

The biggest question the Eagles need to answer is whether or not they’re comfortable with Jalen Hurts as their quarterback of the present and future. If the answer to that question is no, then the team could have an intriguing chance to upgrade the game’s most important position with the No. 12 pick.

Otherwise, Eagles fans are understandably desperate to see the team upgrade their options at wide receiver. Jalen Reagor didn’t live up to expectations as last year’s first round pick. Philadelphia still needs a No. 1 wide receiver. Round 1 could be the perfect spot to fill that crucial need.

The Eagles are well-positioned to land an impact player at No. 12. Here are the best three outcomes Philadelphia fans can reasonably hope for.

3. Upgrade at cornerback with Jaycee Horn

The Eagles took a big step forward at cornerback last season by trading for Darius Slay. That could make this year’s draft the perfect time to upgrade the unit from good to great by landing Jaycee Horn.

He may not have the polish that Patrick Surtain brings to the position, but he’s got exceptional size and athleticism to compete with wideouts on the outside. Eagles fans might not love the idea of spending this year’s first-rounder on a corner, but Horn’s value could be too much to pass up.
