If Aaron Rodgers were traded by the Green Bay Packers, it would immensely benefit their division rival — the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings had a down year by their standards in 2020, finishing the season with a 7-9 record and missing out on the NFC postseason. The Green Bay Packers, meanwhile, won the NFC North by a wide margin and came one quarter short of making it to the Super Bowl, only to be outgunned by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady. Realistically, there’s only one move that could flip the script come 2021, and it’s one the Packers are apparently considering on draft day.

Green Bay might trade the 2020 MVP, and one of the best quarterbacks of all-time, in Aaron Rodgers. The 37-year-old is reportedly fed up with the franchise and remains unhappy with their unwillingness to add weapons around him.

Minnesota Vikings fans would be thrilled if Packers traded Aaron Rodgers

Vikings fans reacted to the Rodgers update from Adam Schefter with glee. More drama in Green Bay is a good thing for Minnesota, as it could lead to the exit of a man who has tormented them for years.

Brett Favre, of course, suffered a similar fate when Rodgers was drafted by Green Bay. After a few seasons with both players on the roster, Favre’s retirement drama finally ended with him being traded to the New York Jets. A few years later, he ended up playing for the Packers’ rival in Minnesota.

Surely, the Packers hope Rodgers’ destiny doesn’t play out the same way.
