St. Louis Cardinals utility man Matt Carpenter continues to silence the critics after he hit another home run on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Matt Carpenter was viewed as the goat of the St. Louis Cardinals fanbase for his lack of production at the plate. That changed on Thursday after he hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run against the Philadelphia Phillies. If you thought that was an anomaly, we have got some news for you.

During Friday’s game on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Carpenter stepped up to the plate as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning with two men on base. On an 0-2 count, Carpenter mashed another three-run homer, his second in as many days to give the Cardinals a 6-1 lead.

You can officially say that Carpenter has gone streaking for the Cardinals. Perhaps he is coming for Pablo Sandoval’s pinch-hit crown in 2021?
