Cowboys’ draft pick has ugly history and seemingly no remorse for it
The Dallas Cowboys drafted a prospect who has a troubling past involving alleged domestic violence.
The Dallas Cowboys were all about the defense at the start of the 2021 NFL Draft. The team used its first six picks on defenders and finally changed that with a fourth-round selection of offensive tackle Josh Ball.
A quick glance at the pick makes it seem like the Cowboys drafted a lineman out of Marshall. However, there is so much more to the story.

There were allegedly 11 instances of violence between himself and his accuser.
Cowboys take player with concerning past
Ball began his collegiate career at Florida State and looked to be an elite prospect. Then news broke that a woman he had been dating openly filed for legal protection against him for alleged acts of violence. The allegations are tough to read and Ball was eventually removed from the university.
He went on to play at Butler Community College in Kansas before ending up at Marshall. Ball never did face legal charges, but what happened at FSU was enough to get him removed from the school.
The next concerning part is that Ball seems to have zero remorse about the situation.

Other teams around the league may have seen those comments as a huge concern. But the Cowboys don’t seem to mind as Ball joins the organization.
So what are fans to think about all of this? On one hand, some may be in favor of a second chance. However, Ball is showing no remorse and wants to pretend like nothing ever happened. That is just not possible for everyone involved in the situation.
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are now going to have a lot of questions to answer about why they feel Ball is a good person to represent the franchise.
