Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant gave a place of honor to his Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award above other awards in his loaded trophy case.

At first glance, the tweet is a simple nod to Kevin Durant’s new gaming setup.

On closer inspection, it might be proof of what the Brooklyn Nets forward truly values.

We’re talking about the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award sitting prominently atop his trophy case.

Durant won the Best Male Athlete Award in 2014. He took home Clutch Player of the Year in 2018 and got a nod for having the Sickest Moves in 2017.

Nickelodeon has been good to Durant. He’s good to their trophies.

Durant could add another Kids Choice Sports Award to his trophy case this year. He’s a nominee for Favorite Male Athlete, along with LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Russell Wilson, Stephen Curry and Tom Brady.

Kevin Durant loves his Kids Choice Awards, apparently

It’s been tough for Durant on the basketball court this year. He finally made it back from the Achilles injury that kept him out of the 2019-20 season, but his body hasn’t been reliable this year.

He missed time under NBA health and safety protocols early in the season. Then when he returned, he suffered a hamstring injury. Just when he returned from that, he suffered a thigh bruise and missed more games. Injury management misses have been a constant occurrence for the Nets.

When Durant is available, he’s been as good as ever though. He’s averaged 27.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.5 blocks a night in 27 games of action thus far. He scored a season-high 42 points against the Indiana Pacers to prove he is still an absolute baller.

Brooklyn will need him at his best when the playoffs roll around. They’re aiming for a run through the Eastern Conference as the No. 1 seed, though the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t going to give up the top seed without a fight. Another Larry O’Brien Trophy could be in his future, but it might have to take a backseat to the Kids Choice Awards based on that setup.
