These three veterans on the Pittsburgh Steelers could be cut following the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had very little cap space entering this league year, meaning the NFL Draft presented itself as the perfect opportunity for the team to add talent. With this upcoming season looking like the final ride for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the team was looking to bring in as much help as possible to make one last run to the Super Bowl with the veteran at the helm.

Pittsburgh added nine prospects to its roster this weekend, but room will have to be made by the time the regular season rolls around. That means that some veterans will have to be shown the door. Here are three who could potentially be cut following the NFL Draft.

Jordan Berry. 3.. 55. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Pittsburgh Steelers. P. player

On the final day of the NFL Draft in Cleveland, Ohio, the Steelers decided to make an upgrade at the punter position. With the 254th-overall pick, the Steelers selected Georgia Tech punter Pressley Harvin III. As a result, veteran Jordan Berry is officially on notice.

In his four seasons with the Yellow Jackets, Harvin punted 210 footballs for 9,396 yards. This past season, Harvin averaged 48.0 yards per punt on 45 attempts through nine games. Compare that to Berry, who is coming off a season where he averaged 45.8 yards per punt, which happened to be a career-best.

The drafting of Harvin could be an omen for Berry. If the rookie shows out in training camp with his powerful leg, Berry could be the one out of a roster spot.
