A hilarious pair of brawls broke out a Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola (Video)
A hilarious pair of brawls took place in the audience at the Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola boxing card in Carson, CA
Fight fans at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA, weren’t ready to just watch rumbles like the Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Chris Arreola boxing match. Some of them were rowdy enough to get into rumbles themselves.
At least two brawls at the arena were filmed at some point during the night’s action and posted on social media.
In the first clip, courtesy of Mike Coppinger of The Athletic, a male in a blue long-sleeved shirt with white undershirt lands a few solid right hands on a male in a white shirt, dropping him to the ground.
Nearby, a male in another white shirt — this one sported with a big H — comes down the stairs and wallops a male in grey with a hook before the two square down and move off-screen.
Meanwhile, a male, who was seemingly already on the ground at the start of the video, removes his shirt and appears to be still looking for a fight like a tough guy.
Not only was boxing back in California with Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola, but so too were boxing crowd brawls
Another clip from Coppinger saw a second brawl even crazier than the first. It sees more of your traditional group melee, with several people throwing hands and some ganging up on others. It looked like something that belonged more in a WWE Royal Rumble match than in a boxing ring.
Maybe all these people involved in fights were just looking to audition to be Jake Paul’s next opponent.
The main event of the evening saw Ruiz come back from being knocked down early, to score a unanimous decision over Arreola.
It was Ruiz’s first fight since losing the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles in a December 2019 rematch with Anthony Joshua.
