Former Georgia football stars like Todd Gurley are wading through free agency to find their new NFL home for the 2021 season.

The end of the draft means it’s time for the next phase of the NFL offseason.

This is the time when veteran free agents look to fill the gaps in rosters that weren’t addressed on draft weekend.

For a trio of former Georgia football stars, the task is simple: Find a new place to play.

3. Justin Houston

If it wasn’t already clear Justin Houston’s time in Indianapolis was done, the Colts left no doubt when they drafted defensive ends in the first and second round. In come Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo. Out with Houston. That’s just the way of things.

Houston’s numbers were fine in 2020. He had eight sacks and 12 quarterback hits on the season. The year before, he had 11 and 18, with another two tackles for loss.

The former Bulldog All-American isn’t a spry young guy anymore, but at 31-years-old he looks like he still has something to give as a pro.

The Colts took their chance to invest in the future. Houston could easily land with a team looking to win now with the help of a reliable veteran.
