Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis says he’ll get a blonde hair stripe just like teammate Dennis Schroder on one big condition.

Anthony Davis is already recognizable by the iconic unibrow, but he’s prepared to add another striking feature to his appearance.

If the Lakers repeat as NBA champions, Davis will take a page out of teammate Dennis Schroder’s book.

“When we win a chip, I’m going to get a blonde stripe like Dennis,” Davis said during a live stream.

It’s safe to say Lakers fans and Davis’ teammates are looking forward to the day he has to come good on that promise.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, there are no guarantees on the championship front.

Last year, the team came together to win the title in the fall after the 2020 season was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It took Davis and LeBron James both being at the top of their game to get it done. The former averaged 27.7 points per game. The latter averaged 27.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists in the playoffs.

Davis and James are still with the Lakers, but neither has been at their best this season because of injury. Davis has missed 35 games with calf and Achilles issues. James has missed 22 games and is still dealing with the lingering impact of his March ankle sprain.

Schroder himself, who is averaging 15.5 points per game this season, is also out with a calf problem at the moment.

Los Angeles needs Davis and James to come on strong in the playoffs, preferably with some major help from role players as the two stars look to regain their form.

First, they must hold onto their place in the Western Conference standings. If they drop further than sixth place, they’ll have to take part in the Play-In Tournament.
