The Kansas City Chiefs are staying busy in free agency, as they’ve signed veteran safety Will Parks to a one-year deal.

Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach is at it again. After working overtime this offseason to improve the offensive line, then absolutely killing it in the NFL Draft, the general manager has gone out and made a move for the secondary.

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Chiefs and veteran safety Will Parks have agreed to terms on a one-year deal. Parks finished the 2020 campaign with the Broncos, but will now be ready to suit up for a different AFC West team.

Veteran defensive back Will Parks has signed a one-year deal with Kansas City

Back in 2016, Denver used a sixth-round pick on Parks. He was with the team from 2016-2019 before ultimately signing a new deal with the Eagles in 2020. He suited up in six games for Philadelphia last season, making three starts.

He was then released by the Eagles in December, opening the door for the Broncos to bring him back. He closed out the ’20 campaign playing in four games for them.

Now, Parks will head to Kansas City and look to make an immediate impact for the team’s defense. The Chiefs enter 2021 as the favorites to win the Super Bowl. While Parks isn’t known as a superstar in NFL circles, he’ll surely be hungry to prove his worth for the AFC powerhouse from the moment he arrives to town.
