These five revenge games on the 2021 NFL schedule will have you on the edge of your seat.

With the 2021 NFL schedule being officially released on Wednesday night, we have several revenge games to look forward to.

You better get your popcorn ready for these regular-season battles. All five of them feature marquee players who were either traded or left for another team in free agency. While we await the outcomes of these contests, what we do know is these high-profile breakups did not end on the best of terms. Let the bitterness and pettiness cascade over you like a most glorious waterfall.

These are the five revenge games everybody and their brother will talk about at the water cooler.

2021 NFL schedule: 5 best revenge games on the slate

5. Sam Darnold vs. New York Jets

After three years of being mired in perpetual dysfunction, former No. 3 overall pick Sam Darnold was traded to the Carolina Panthers from the New York Jets. Gang Green got itself a new franchise quarterback of the future in Zach Wilson. All the while, Darnold joins Matt Rhule’s rebuild in Charlotte, hoping to save his career in the next Sean McVay Joe Brady’s Carolina passing game.

4. Khalil Mack vs. Las Vegas Raiders

For Khalil Mack, it is all about making Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden look so incredibly stupid for trading him. Yes, the Silver and Black got themselves a fine running back in Josh Jacobs, but the Chicago Bears still won the trade because they got a future Pro Football Hall of Famer out on the edge in Mack. Look for the Bears’ star defensive end to celebrate with a hat trick of sacks.

Here are the three most anticipated revenge games of the 2021 NFL season.
